Tomkins Industries Appoints New President of Lasco Bathware
Industry Veteran Also President of Lasco Fittings

Jack McDonald ANAHEIM, CA. - Tomkins Industries, a world class global engineering group with market and technical leadership, announced the appointment of Jack McDonald as the new president of Lasco Bathware, the industry's largest manufacturer of fiberglass and acrylic bath fixtures. McDonald is currently the president of Lasco Fittings, another Tomkins construction products company. He will retain that position and also assume leadership at Lasco Bathware, commencing June 1, 2003.

McDonald was appointed president of Lasco Fittings, based in Brownsville, Tennessee, in 1993. For the past ten years he has been responsible for overseeing the substantial growth of this leading PVC pipe fittings producer for the commercial plumbing and irrigation industry. In his new role at Lasco Bathware, McDonald will manage more than 2,000 employees in nine locations nationally, overseeing product development, sales, services, support and marketing.

Prior to joining Lasco Fittings, McDonald held the position of Vice President and General Manager for Ventline, a Philips Products company, for three years. McDonald began his building materials career with Alcoa's Mastic Building Products in South Bend, Indiana, where he was employed for six years. McDonald, 42, holds a BBA from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is married with two sons, Christopher and Colin, and presently lives in Germantown, Tennessee.

"Lasco Bathware is in an excellent position to increase market penetration by expanding its product offering," McDonald said. "Joining Bathware is a great opportunity. The staff is terrific and I look forward to working with everyone to achieve growth by offering our customers innovative products." Dave Bienek, Lasco Bathware's former leader, has retired after 12 years as president and a total of 27 years with Bathware. Mr. Bienek had a successful tenure during which the company enjoyed considerable financial growth. He expanded the company by adding plants in Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Nevada, and during his leadership the number of employees increased from 800 to over 2000. Mr. Bienek stated, "Although it is difficult to leave, and I will certainly miss the camaraderie and celebrations we shared, I'm sure you'll be in good hands. I know Jack well and I think you will find him to be a real "people person." Mr. Bienek is retiring to pursue other entrepreneurial business interests.
